Return & Exchange Policy

At DallAire Heating, Cooling, and Electrical, we stand behind the products we sell. Due to the nature of HVAC and electrical equipment, our online store follows a defective-only return policy. We do, however, accept exchanges under specific conditions outlined below.

Returns

Defective Products Only

We accept returns only for products that are defective.

A product is considered defective if it arrives damaged, does not function as intended, or has a verified manufacturer defect prior to installation or use.

To qualify for a return:

  • The issue must be reported within 48 hours of delivery

  • The item must be unused, uninstalled, and unenergized

  • The item must be returned with original packaging, manuals, and accessories

  • Proof of purchase is required

All defective returns are subject to inspection and approval.

Exchanges

We accept exchanges for eligible items if:

  • The exchange request is made within 30 days of purchase

  • The item is unused, uninstalled, and in original packaging

  • The item has not been energized or altered

  • The item is not a special-order or custom item

Exchanges may be made for the same item or another item of equal or greater value. Any price difference must be paid at the time of exchange.

Non-Returnable and Non-Exchangeable Items

The following items are not eligible for return or exchange:

  • Installed or used products

  • Electrical components that have been energized

  • HVAC equipment or controls that have been opened or installed

  • Custom or special-order items

  • Clearance or “Final Sale” items

  • Labor, service calls, inspections, or diagnostic fees

  • Memberships, maintenance plans, or service packages

These items cannot be resold safely or legally once opened or installed.

Return or Exchange Process

To start a return or exchange:

  1. Contact us at comfort@fixmyheat.com or call 810-379-0322

  2. Provide your order number and a description of the issue

  3. Wait for return or exchange authorization before sending the item back

  4. Items returned without authorization may be refused.

Shipping

  • Customers are responsible for shipping costs unless the item is confirmed defective

  • Shipping charges are non-refundable

  • We recommend using tracked and insured shipping

  • Items damaged due to improper return packaging may be denied.

Refunds for Defective Returns

  • Approved defective returns will be refunded to the original payment method

  • Refunds are issued after inspection

  • Allow 5–10 business days for processing

  • Original shipping costs are not refunded unless required by law
